What is a good Swedish-English dictionary?
I am studying in Sweden and I was looking at the Swedish-English/English-Swedish dictionaries available for sale here (that is, Swedish published editions) and I noticed that for Swedish words they give neither the gender nor the correct plural form. Those are pretty important in Swedish! Does anyone know of a dictionary edition that does give the gender and plural forms? Would a English-language publishing company be more likely to do so?

The best thing would be for you to supplement it with Svenska Akademiens Ordlista (SAOL):

In the SAOL you can find full information on gender and plural, but just be aware if you want to check compound words, that you often have look up the main word to find that information. For example, if you look up the word "höghus" you will find it a compound of "hög" and "hus", so then you'll have to look up the single word "hus" to get the gender and plural info.
The info in this book is probably the single most reliable you can find in print, since it has been checked and rechecked for the last 140 years (the present edition is the 13th). The only dictionary that beats it is the Svenska Akademiens Ordbok (SAOB), but even if they have worked in it for over 100 years it is still not finished - they plan to finish it by around 2017, but the work so far (from A to Trivsel) is available free online at http://g3.spraakdata.gu.se/saob/
SAOL and SAOB are both published by the Swedish Academy, that is also every year deciding who will be the laureate for the Nobel Prize in Literature.
